Complaints and Regulation

If you have any concern about my work for you, please raise it with me in person or in writing.

The principal rules which govern my practice as a Notary are the Notaries Practice Rules 2014.

I would hope to be able to resolve your concern, but if I cannot then you can complain to the Notaries Society of which I am a member, who have a complaints procedure which is approved by the Faculty Office. This procedure is free to use and is designed to provide a quick resolution to any dispute. In that case please write (but do not enclose any original documents) with full details of your complaint to:-

Finally, even if you have your complaint considered under the Notaries Society Approved Complaints Procedure, you may at the end of that procedure or after a period of eight weeks from the date of making the complaint to me, make your complaint direct to the Legal Ombudsman(whose contact details are set out below) if the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction. You must do so within 6 months of your last contact with me.
