My fees are charged at the rate of £225 per hour.
I charge a minimum fee of £85.
No VAT is chargeable on my services.
In nearly all cases I am happy to agree a fee in advance, or at the very least provide an indication of the likely cost.
What the fee covers
My fees are based principally on the time taken for the whole transaction, including the need to write up a complete record after the transaction is completed.
The time taken includes: making the appointment; travelling or waiting time; meetings with my client and others involved; considering, preparing and working on papers; correspondence including email (and the time needed to make the record).
All letters and telephone calls will be charged on a time basis.
I reserve the right to charge clients for any unusual expenses incurred including printing, exceptional photocopying, overseas postage, overseas telephone and fax costs.
My fees may be increased to reflect particular complexity, speed of execution, and the use of special skills.
Fees may also be payable to third parties involved in checking and authenticating information. These can include the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, foreign embassies, specialist agents dealing with legalisation of documents, Companies House search fees, translation fees, courier charges and other potential third-party costs.
My bill must be paid on presentation. Documents may not be released until it has been paid.
I reserve the right to request money is paid to me in advance in relation to work where expenses charged by third parties are to be incurred on my client’s behalf.
I should receive payment in sufficient time to allow for bank clearance of funds.
